She Moved Through the Fair (Disneyfied)

Disneyfied Chloë, Méav and Lisa

She Moved Through The Fair is a traditional Irish folk song, which exists in a number of versions and which has been recorded many times. It has been covered by Méav Ní Mhaolchatha for her title album and first Celtic Woman album in 2004 and youngest member Chloë Agnew and Lisa Lambe for the Emerald concert in the next ten years (2014).

Lyrics

Chloë Agnew:
My young love said to me,
"My mother won't mind
And my father won't slight you for your lack of kind."
Then she stepped away from me and this she did say:
"It will not be long, love, till our wedding day."

Méav Ní Mhaolchatha:
She stepped away from me and she moved through the fair

Lisa Lambe:
And fondly, I watched her move here and move there

Méav and Lisa:
And she made her way homeward with one star awake

Chloë:
As the swan in the evening

Chloë and Lisa:
Moves over the lake

All:
Last night, she came to me
She came softly in
So softly she came that her feet made no din

Méav and Lisa:
And she laid her hand on me

All:
And this she did say:
"It will not be long, love, till our wedding day."
